Ode in December (a random poem I wrote at stupid o’clock one night)

The sun shone on a winter’s day

The rain stopped for a moment

As through the crowds

The hustle and bustle of the daily grind

You turned

And those eyes met mine

For in that moment

Nothing shall be the same

Not now

Not ever again

For that one shining moment

Where your eyes held mine

I could have flown

So know only this

That that fateful moment in which

Our eyes met

Changed life forever

And I can only hope that

One day

You may feel it too
